THE Virgin Mary!

A walk along the Oxfordshire Way, through Church Westcote, brings us to the idyllically set Gastro pub, The Feathered Nest. Cow Parsley, buttery Rape fields, and white blossom soaked hawthorn trees, an enchanted walk through the back roads of middle England. My husband orders a pint of Guinness and a tomato juice, and whilst I sit under the apple blossom, gazing over the Evenlode vale, he emerges, accompanied by a waiter holding a tray of delights. He tells me a tale of a tomato juice separated from its bottle, dusted with celery salt, mixed with fresh celery, Tabasco, Worcestershire sauce and the "pièce de résistance": fresh horseradish. OMG. What a Virgin Mary!
